The Balm in Gilead 

Jeremiah 8:22,

Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?

Gilead at a time seems to be a medicinal hub in Israel where people can be cured from different ailment. Jeremiah 46 verse 11 says, “Go up to Gilead and get balm, Virgin Daughter Egypt. But you try many medicines in vain; there is no healing for you."

But God in Jeremiah 8 verse 22 is saying that physical balm is is not enough for healing. Not all sickness can be cured by drugs and doctors. It's high time we have faith in God and stop trusting in medicine and doctors. Of course medicine and doctors are important for our physical health, but they don't hold the cure to all sicknesses. 

Because of this balm the children of Israel bound themselves to idols and hated the Lord. This Idols caused them hurts that physical balms can't  cure. 

Idols are satanic spirits or human worshipped through symbolic objects, orgies, lust or sacrifices. An idol is a false God- something that you cannot resist its desire is your God.   

Healing By His Wound

Isaiah 53:5,

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Sickness can originate from 3 angles. One, curses which is as a result of sin. Two, spiritual attack: an attack from hell.  And three is physical attack or ailment. 

Christ wound is a symbol of forgiveness, because sin comes with a consequences against our soul. 

He bares our sin on his body on the cross. By his wound we are healed. We are forgiven!

Forgiveness of sin brings healing to our heart and soul. When we confess our sins and accept Jesus as  master believing in him with all we have, then his forgiveness would bring healing to our soul, spirit and body. 

Satan can no more afflict you because of sin. Jesus has taken your wound and by his stripes you are healed.

You get sick in heart and soul when you don't forgive. Forgiveness holds a paramount place in healing. When you're  forgiven don't go back to a sinful lifestyle again. John 5:14 'Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”'

Healing By His Name

Acts 3: 1-10,

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Peter healed a lame man through faith in the name, Jesus. The name of Jesus brings down principalities and power. When you are a true follower of Jesus not pastors, you are given this right to use the name of the master. Jesus is the master that has the key to every problem. Even the wind obeyed him (Mark 4:41). 

Jesus gives you power when you are an addicted follower of him. Peter was an addicted follower of Jesus, so he commanded the man that was lame, "silver and gold I have none but such that I have I give to you, in the name of Jesus rise up and walk". Be a follower of Jesus and you'll have this right! 

In  Matthew 10 Jesus sent his disciples (his followers) to heal the sick, cast out devil and even raise the dead. This should be done with the right to use the name. 

Healing By Vision

This is called the gift of healing. This is a spiritual gift. Every spiritual gift is based on spiritual sensitivity-  hearing, seeing or feeling the power of God. Jesus is the great physician because he had the gift of healing. He could sense the power of healing. In Luke 5:17, while Jesus was teaching he sensed the power of healing present. Sometimes while you are praying, teaching the word or worshipping God or anytime the power to heal might be present. If you have this gift you would know and walk in it. The power opens your eyes, hears or even feel the power of God to heal. When the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8:43-48.. touched the hem of Jesus' garment in the crowd. Jesus could feel the power to heal. That's the gift of healing. Desire this spiritual gift. 

Prayers 

1. Pray for his mercies upon your life. Ask for mercy. Lamentation 3:22 says, "It's of the Lord's mercy that you are not consume."  God's mercies is his ability and will to help us when we are in need. The worst thing in life is not to trust in God's mercy. Pray.

2. Pray for the spirit of love upon your life, that anger and bitterness or not being able to forgive others should be taken away by God. 1 John 4:8 says that God is love and dwell in love. One thing I've noticed about those under affliction is the spirit of anger. Satan uses this anger to keep them in bondage. Pray for God to release from that spirit of anger in Jesus name.

3. Pray that God should open your eyes to see the hindrance or root of your affliction. 

 

     

 
Technology and science alone can't move the mountain when it comes to long life and divine health.
 

 What's  divine health?

 Divine health is perfect soundness, which is soundness in soul, spirit and body according to Acts 3:16.

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

long life on the other hand means living a satisfying and fulfilling life. Living old in age and your generation do not see the light is not a long life according to scripture, but a wasted years. Your real life begins when you and your generation turn to the light- Jesus. Abraham wasted 75 years of his life in  darkness . But when he turned to the light of God he brought light to his generation, from then he lived an hundred years of light!
 

Before God created the world, there was spiritual darkness in the world. Those ages of darkness were perceived as death. Life began on earth when the spiritual or true light of God was created (Genesis 1:1-3; John1:3-5). In John chapter 1, the Apostle John wrote that Jesus is the true light that lights the life of every man that comes into the world. In the eyes of God, there are people who you think are living but they are dead. They have no light; they have no life to live. Frustrating!
 

Instead of spending our time in idolatry which is the biggest root of mental and spiritual affliction, we should serve God and save our soul from destruction.
 

 

Long Life is A Reward for Serving God   

Under the law, God promised the Israelite long life and prosperity if they serve Him diligently. "So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you"( Exodus 23:25).

Every man is either serving God or a god. This small god can be man, woman, money, statute and everything created out of the image of man or animal. If you want to live long you need to stop trusting in flesh and put your hope in the living God. Even your Pastor can be your Idol. Anything apart from God you absolutely trust in is your god.
 

 

Long Life is a Result of a Strong Spiritual Foundation

 Jesus said a wise man is a man who builds his house on the rock. A foundation is where you build  your hope on. Every great building is cast on the bed rocks underneath the earth for safety concern. They excavate to the depth till they find a hard layer to rely the building on. Who you rely on in the day of trouble can be your foundation. The Psalmist said, if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3). 

If your health and happiness strictly rely on money, the day you can't get enough money what will you do?   It's time to accept the gospel and be saved.

Jesus sent his disciples out to preach without giving them money. They would need to take of themselves while on the mission. Rather he assured them of God's provision in where they were going to. The disciples didn't worry, since they know how to rely on God's word.

 Jesus lived everyday by relying on God's word. Matthew 4:4 says, "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God." 

Those who want to live long and with divine health must live by the word of God. Your spiritual foundation is you relying on the word of God. Man can lie, in fact. In a world of lie, only one is true, because He created everything and cannot lie. Lies are manipulative or persuasive ideas that is not fulfilled or not real. Lying prophets are wrecking havoc in the lives of many today. They say what people want to hear. Liars know how to read people's mind. Beware of False prophets they are Bad spiritual foundation! 

Because of a lying spirit in the heart of  the prophets king Ahab died wrongfully (1 kings chapter 22). Majority of souls who are repenting from Satan are actually captured by false prophets, the bad foundation of Christianity. They are repenting from one god to another god. A false prophet is a god to his disciples.  

 

Long Life is by Election

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
(Mark 9:1).
 

There are some people who are ordained to live long.  Only God knows those that will exist in the next ten years. I call this: Long Live by Election. If you read the scripture above you would discover that Jesus was referring to the very elect-  those who would see the rapture. It's only God who knows those elects. Some are elected by God to see the next ten years, while some are going to died in the coming ten years. If God has put the crown of an hundred years on your head, then it is He who will fulfill it. God knows the number of our days and also has good plan for his children.

 

Now divine health.

How to Live In Divine Health

1. Always give thanks to God. 

There were ten lepers that were cleansed (Luke 17) but only one came back to thank Jesus. When you thank God you let in His perfection into your soul, spirit and body. Stop complaining all the time.  

 

2. Beware of Anger.  

Anger itself is not wrong, if the cause is just or righteous. But when it's selfish and become your daily bread then it's a disaster. If you really want to know whether the spirit anger is in someone, you need to observe his mood each time he or she wakes up in the morning. A angry soul begins the day with anger. This kind of anger stresses our heart which can lead to depression. When you are not content with what you have, you'll always be angry.

 

3. Be Prayerful. 

 This can't be overemphasized. Prayer cleanses your life. Prayer empowers you to move forward in life. When you are down in life it's when the devil takes advantage of you. Through effective prayers you subdue the gates of hell after your health. Watch and Pray.
 

 

4. Walk in the Spirit.  

When you walk in the Spirit you walk in the light. And with the light of God you can go far in life. Let no man deceive you that science is life and there's no God. Walking in science alone which is man wisdom is less profitable to divine health, because divine health is first spiritual health.  When you walk in the Spirit you walk in the truth. When you prosper without the Spirit of GOD you'll end in sickness. You need to give God a place in your life in order to maintain spiritual, mental and physical health. When you have no place for God, then you have a place for  the devil.  Walk in the Spirit to avoid the devourer (the devil).
 

 

5. Read Your Bible.

 A growing christian is a healthy christian. Paul said, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you..." (Colosians 3:16). God's word makes you strong. 

 

6. Learn from Stories.  

Don't make yourself an experiment through ignorance. Read biblical stories especially and learn from it. It is deductive knowledge.  Don't fall into the same old skims of the enemy. Wise up!

Narcissism is a personality disorder, whereby one shows the lack of empathy for others and the desire of grandiosity for themselves. What does the bible has to say about this?
 

Narcissistic  characters were found in the bible. From King Saul to King Nebuchadnezzar to Heman, and then the Pharisees.  But there is more to this character: this according to Jesus in Luke 11:24-26 is certainly a spiritual problem- A wicked spirit which has possessed the people of the world.
Wickedness is narcissism. When someone cannot feel love or compassion for others it's because of  wickedness, and wickedness is a spirit. Jesus said,

 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.'' (Luke11:24-26).

This spirit is what Paul referred to  as the ruling spirit (Colosians 2:8). Those who are showing the lack of empathy and extreme selfishness are being possessed by a wicked spirit. This spirit makes them selfish with pride and arrogance. They hate others whom they consider not submissive or beneficial to their ego.
 

There are Things  That can Breed Narcissism or Wickedness

1.  The Leaven or Doctrine of the Religious Cults (Pharisee).
2.  The Leaven or Doctrines of Political Cults (Herod).

Jesus warned his disciples against those two groups. Today there are a lot of churches that are a form of  religious cult. They worship their pastor as God and have a tradition (doctrines) that makes them extremely submissive to the cult. These make their followers to be blind to the truth and then wickedness sets in. The followers crave to be influential like their idol pastor. People are defined by who they follow. It is hard for these people to feel for anyone rather than their idol pastor or prophet. An idol pastor or prophet is a leader of a religious cult.
These political or religious groups tends to breed a one-sided form of faithfulness. That means, they want to have a total control over the lives of their followers. And they use their  doctrines or tradition  to influence them. Jesus is saying, Beware!
 

 
The Pharisees and Saducees and Herods however do not pity the poor, rather according to Jesus they devoured  the poor and widows; they collect sacrifices, tithes, many offerings, heavy taxes and levies from the poor. Those who want to be like these men would be narcissists because these men and women are without good conscience. The wicked spirit has possessed their heart and makes them to devour the poor, and to change God's law through their doctrines and traditions. "

And the Lord said unto him, “Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter, but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

How to Set Yourself Free From Narcissism or Wickedness

Do you find yourself in this state, where you only want fame and power at the expense of others livelihood? Then you need to set yourself free from this, because the kingdom of heaven is coming.  God hates wickedness and those who practice it.  
 

How You Can Set Yourself Free
 

1. Clean Yourself from  Political or religious cult. If you know that what I've explained above is manifested in your church or any group you're into, then you need to beware of such a groups, lest you'll be corrupted more. Reject their false teachings and traditions.
 

2. Make a prayer of Deliverance. As I have said in one of my post Living Under Satanic Oppression deliverance is to be set free from evil leadership and evil spirits. Also, I said earlier that wickedness or narcissism is a spirit. We need to pray through the light of God's word. The book of Psalms is filled with prayers of deliverance. Pray for God to deliver you from the Pharisees and the Herod (narcissistic leaders in your life). And that He should help you not to follow or listen to them again.
 

3. Walk in the Spirit. When you turn from darkness to light, you need to walk in the light. Walking in the Spirit is walking in the light. The spirit of God is the light in the word of God. You must first be baptized in the HolySpirit, know him, before you can walk with Him. The HolySpirit is God in form of a voice. When you're baptized with the Spirit or filled with his fire, because His fire is His power, then you'll begin to hear from God. Your spiritual senses would come alive. Your spiritual ears, eyes, tongue, skin would feel God.
 

To be baptized in the Spirit, you have to wait on God, that is, live a holy life. Live as if God is visiting you today. Prepare your heart for God by despising everything that is false. Holiness means staying away from things that are false. Don't identify yourself with whatsoever that the bible or Jesus condemns. Anything that God condemns is unholy. And anything that God accepts and blesses is holy.
 

3. Preach Against It. When Jesus delivered Paul, he made him a preacher against the Pharisees whom he (Paul) once followed. Jesus turned him against those wicked leaders of the religious cults and the political cults. If you don't preach against those false doctrines or traditions you once followed it means you still support them.

 

The Grip of Narcissism

What narcissists want to achieve is to have total control over your life. At first, they act to be nice and good,  which is a bait for taking control over others. Once they got your loyalty or support, then they learn about your important need in life and  act as the source of your important need. All they want is to have total control over your life.
 

Leaving a narcissist makes them feel unimportant in life; their only way of feeling important or expressing their self worth is by having total control over others. Since people would always subscribe to a fighter as a leader instead of a peace maker, narcissists tend to walk their way up in leadership. 
If you have a narcissist Pastor he or she will acts as if they are always there for you, but the truth is, that is a way of expressing their self worth. Such Pastor would try to keep you in his or her power by making you to believe that without them and their church you are nothing. He or she presents himself as your Lord and personal savior. Same if you have a narcissistic boss or father, he will always want to use his  office or authority to make you feel less worthy and to believe that your life is in his hands. Narcissism is a self-worth disorder.  

 

What Motivates A Narcissist

Narcissists are motivated by anger towards others success, even though it's their brother or spouse. This  makes them feel less about themselves when they see their peers progress or succeed. In the mind of the narcissist he compares himself with others. He feeds on baseless comparisons.  If he or she is a boss he makes childish and useless comparisons among his subjects and becomes the perfect judge that no one can compete with. They feel Super Human.
 

Working under a narcissist means you don't exist when value is to be given to such team. He or she feels like the giant in the team while the others are grasshopper. He takes pride in your work. You will only be wasting your time working with a narcissistic boss. 


          
    
        

       


    

 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. (Luke 5 :17).

 

The power of healing is in the revelation of Jesus Christ. Christ manifests what he teaches. The HolySpirit manifests what He teaches. There is power in revelation. Revelation is scriptural or spiritual truth. 

Spiritual power is the ability to speak words that come to pass or to show signs and wonders. Invisible forces are behind spiritual powers. There are two power of healing:

1. Divine Power

2. Resurrection Power.

Divine power is the power of prophecies (visions). God will do nothing except He reveals it first to His servant the prophet (Amos 3:6) .  Divine power is also the power of light. Light spiritually is prophecy. The divine power is the power of the Spirit.

Resurrection power is the presence of angels. The angels were responsible for Jesus' resurrection. What has been dead can be resurrected by the powers of angels. Dead career, calling, body can all come back to life like Lazarus in John 11.  Angels loves to work in the dead part of your life, just as demons loves the graveyard or dead persons.  The resurrection power is the power of life!

Then Healing

Healing is the act of  curing the sick with powers from above. The word of God is sent forth to heal and to deliver from darkness (Psalms 107:20). Healing and deliverance are different: Healing comes to restore  your body; deliverance comes to restore your spirit. Spiritual restoration is to save you from the wrong influence or leadership.

Every sickness and disease is either a curse from God or an oppression of the devil. Acts 10:38, tells us about how God anointed Jesus to free those who believe in  Him from oppression.  

Oppression is the evil planting from Satan. Or evil yokes and burdens. Satan plants a mountain of darkness and destruction in the root of every man- man's soul. Jesus explained this in Matthew 13:25, 

but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 

Fighting sickness without dealing with the oppressor is futile.  You should deal with the oppressor. 

Who is an Oppressor ?

An oppressor is someone who puts an evil burden or yoke on your neck. He or she never wants you freed.  All witches, wizards, false prophets and false Christs (wicked leaders) are oppressors. Witches and wizards are spiritual wickedness in high places, therefore we should beware...

When one is under oppression from Satan, one is under evil obssession and depression. Obssession makes one extremely possesive of something, someone or himself, so depression sets in. He or she starts loosing his or her moral and spiritual health. Depression  leads to bad decision making.  When ones moral and spiritual health is down, bad decision is inevitable. The moral part of us is our conscience; the spiritual   part of us is our influence. Conscience has to do with the laws we believe in (as our culture).

For Us To Stop The Oppression

We need the followings in order for us to end Satanic oppression in our lives:

1.  The Anointing:  Anointing can mean acting the word, or the word made flesh (John 1: 14). The book of Acts of the Apostle is a book that showed us how the apostles acted the word. I believe the anointing is the Acting Word. When we act the word that God has given to us it brings deliverance from oppression. Psalm 107 verse 20 tells us that God sent forth His Word, and His Word healed them and delivered them out of their destruction. God needs those who will act His word. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2 verse 4 that the gospel he, an apostle of Christ, preaches is not with man's wisdom, but the demonstration of  Spirit or the power of God.

Also Isaiah 10 verse 27 tells us that the anointing breaks every evil yoke of oppression.

2.  Authority:  When God speaks everything listens. Jesus spoke to the oppressing wind and the wind dies down.  Authority is the right to command or demand for something. Revelation  (the wisdom or laws of the Spirit) gives us authority over principalities and powers of darkness. Divine authority is revelational, while  Governmental authority is constitutional.

In Matthew 10 Jesus sent the disciples to go out to preach, heal and even raise the dead based on His authority (divine authority). Divine authority is necessary for us to stop the oppression of Satan.

3.  The Altar:  Jezebel in 2 Kings 18 oppressed the people of Israel by forcing them to worship of Baal, her god.   Thank goodness that Elijah stopped the oppression by contending with her prophets in the altar on mount Camel.  An altar is a place of spiritual warfare, or worship. Elijah built an altar on the mount with twelve stones which represents the twelve tribes of Israel.  While the bullock was already slaughter on the altar, Elijah  prayed to God, starting with him seeing God in the light of just men- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob . Worship can mean, to see God in the light of just men. 

Not quite long,  the fire of God descended from heaven.  The fire that came down on that altar ended the oppression of baal in Israel. 

All the places that Jacob had encounters with God, he builds an altar there. Have a place of prayer in your life. A physical place for a altar is not necessary today, but you yourself are the altar. When you are prayerful you becomes a place where God releases His fire. That fire sets you and others free from Satanic oppression.    

God loves you.

 

     

The drug we need for our supernatural well being is being prescribed by the spirit of God. First of all, I define a drug as a substance for curing a sick person. That's why Jeremiah said in the book of Jeremiah chapter 8 verse 22: ''Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician." The balm he was refering to was  a spiritual balm, which is the anionting. In Acts 10:38 the scripture tells us how God anionted Jesus with the HolyGhost and power who went about doing good, healing all that were oppressed of the devil. Every sickness is tied to the devil. The devil is a born oppressor, he doesn't let go his captives. 

 22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”

24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”

25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 

How to Receive the Spiritual Drug

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. "

How to Receive Healing

Faith healing is the act of using mysteries to help the sick recover. Faith healing works by the spiritual power (God) and faith of  the afflicted.

" While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."

And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, 'We have never seen anything like this!' ". (Mark 2:9-12).
