Prayer involves binding and loosing of things on earth. Prayer is also a way of seeking guidance or direction in time of need.
Praying in the Spirit invokes prophecy. To pray in the Spirit is not probably praying in tongues, but praying with power,(the help, will and direction of the Spirit). When you are in the Spirit you don't think of what to pray, you are given what to pray by God.In prayer everyone have a common infirmity- Not Knowing What to Pray For.
Romans 8:26,
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
Prayer is in secret, not a public show:
"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." (Matthew 6:5-6).
The most important thing to pray for in life is asking God to open the eyes of your spirit, because life is far beyond the physical, you need to know the secret things.
