7 Ways To Enjoy Counsel From Your Pastor And Team Leader

When your leader sees you as one who can be corrected without always having issue wwith you:
he will gladly correct you.
But if corrections, will always lead to a greater problem with you,
They will leave you to suffer alone.
Remember according to the scripture "In the multitude of counselors there is safety.

My assistant Pastors started making a particular mistake about four years ago. It was just this year, I spoke about it with them for the first time. Because I know they won't react against me for correcting them. And I can always manage anyone I work with.

But if I can stay with it for good four years without correcting them, you should know I can stay for more years without talking about it.
That way, They will not enjoy the privileges and benefits of me telling them. I said this to let you know that whoever corrects you, loves you, and wants you to become better.I adjusted from my end, and we lived as though nothing was wrong for four good years.
Never forget a matured leader, can manage you even when you are in error. But you won't get the best from him.

Now What Should Be My Attitude If I Must Enjoy Correction From My Pastor Or Team Leader

1. Be humble and teachable.
Always possess the attitude of a learner. Remember, the meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his ways.
2. Never argue when you are corrected.
Don't always react. Otherwise the day you will even die, your counselor will save his head from your reactions and arguments.
An assistant Pastor always goes on seven day dry fast. His leader will tell him to take it easy, that he is not the General overseer. He branded the leaders as too carnal. One day he went on 21 day dry fast, without water and food. In the course of the fast, he slumped and died. Never you think Apostle Paul is carnal to say timothy should take a little wine, for his stomach's sake or often infirmity. Leaders can always know when there is zeal without knowledge.
3. Be flexible and bendable.
Don't be too hard to bend. Now that you are still young, let them bend you and mould you into something good. Because a time will come you are already made perfect in error.
4. Even if you think you are right, accept you are wrong and allow time to prove you are right. I do that a lot, I don't argue with my superiors, they will one day know I was right, and they are wrong. But I can't prove it.
5. Don't claim or act as though you know the Bible more than your leader.
You can be deep in the word and still be deep in error. This is what has finished most young men in Nigeria. Very deep in God's word, yet have problems with every leader that would have helped them become better.
6. Ensure you don't keep repeating the same thing you were corrected for.
To be repeating the same mistake is to indirectly take a position against your leader.
7. Don't see your leader as your problem.
As if he is the one that needs correction. No leader can help you if you believe he is the one who needs help. Blind your eyes to his own error, if there is any. So that you can enjoy his corrections and his covering.
